[DBZ - Stick Saga 4 (OLD)]

It was pretty damn good...

Except, it was very short. I realize you said that it was only 30 % done, but this small little clip was almost 5000KB. Still, great graphics and music, not to mention some great animated explosions, but you either have to optimize to music to make the file size smaller, or divide thsi entire series into many small parts, which may not get such a high score due to there short lengths.

One of my favorite submissions ever!

The drawings are awesome and the animation is extremely smooth. The backgrounds you made in photoshop look clean and artistic, and this movie flows very nicely. Excellent work here. I can't wait to see more work from you.

The actionscripting is very good, I'd like to learn how to do stuff like this, can you suggest any places where I can find tutorials on how to develop the actionscripting required for flash games?

The graphics were decent, the animation could have been a little more smooth in some parts, but the overall execution is very good. I thought that it was a little hard, especially when Celcius did her freeze attack, and I couldn't do anything, then suddenly raped the shit out of me with some like 50% health attack. It was a little monotonous in some parts, and I think the enemies should have varied more, and the environments may have looked different (different BG's), but the way you moved, and the restrictions you had didin't vary enough. For example, side-scrolling this game more often would have made it plenty more interesting.

I've seen a few games like this, such as Spindle that had a variety of combos, but I thought this game still lacked. You needed more combos because after a while the game got too boring.

In general a great game, worth of a top 50 on NG, but I'll honestly tell you it probably won't stay a best of all time for too long. It was simply to repetative.

Still, don't get me wrong, an excellent game, just a few pointers for next time.

Good game...

...But nothing spectacular. The controls were really hard to get used to, but the overall presentation (menu/look to it) was pretty good. I wasn't particular impressed witht eh bird eye view, and the fps wasn't very consistent. Anyways, still a good game, and hopefully this will win an award. Good job.

Great game.

I had tons of fun with this. Really hard, but addictive. I loved the graphics, and the action scripting was incredible. Excellent work here. The next, and better "Defend your Castle" :D
